1What are the ACCA subject(s) that you offer for your ACCA online classes?
Currently, we offer online classes (full course and revision classes) for four ACCA subjects, namely

  • Financial Reporting (FR)
  • Audit and Assurance (AA)
  • Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) - International (INT)
  • Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) - International (INT)
We may offer more subjects in the future. Do stay tuned for any further updates!
2Where are you based? Do you offer physical classes, or are all classes conducted online?
We are based in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. We do not offer physical classes. All our classes are conducted online. It consists of prerecorded videos and live Zoom classes which are recorded. WhatsApp support is included too.
3What intake periods do you offer each year?
Our main intake is January and July, preparing students for exam in June and December respectively. However, depending on the case, it is possible to sign up for our classes for March and September exam. For more information, do drop us a WhatsApp message.
4What are the differences between full course and intensive revision classes (IRC)?
Full course consists of the full syllabus of a particular subject and it includes intensive revision classes (IRC). If you have not studied for a particular subject, it is recommended for you to go for full course. Alternatively, full course is also suitable if you want to restudy the syllabus for a better understanding. Do take note that if you are our full course student, you do not need to sign up for IRC as it is already included in the full course.

On the other hand, IRC focuses more on discussion of past year questions (exam and answering techniques will be demonstrated). It also includes a recap of syllabus areas relevant to the questions covered in IRC. When you sign up for IRC, you also receive access to our previous semester revision videos. However, take note that the detailed syllabus are not covered in IRC. Hence, IRC is more suitable for those who have attended a full course before but want additional guidance for exam.
5In what language do you conduct your ACCA classes?
Our courses are conducted primarily in English.
6If I don't understand the syllabus, can I ask you questions in Mandarin / Bahasa Malaysia via WhatsApp?
Yes you can. We can converse in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
7Can I have the timetable of the live Zoom classes?
The latest timetable for live Zoom classes is available at this link.
8How much is the fee? Do you offer instalment plan?
You can contact us via WhatsApp for more information about our tuition fee. And yes, we do offer instalment plan! Do state this request when you send us a WhatsApp message.
9What platform do you use to host your course videos?
We are using Teachable platform to host our videos. You can access the platform here.
10Can I use macOS / my company laptop to access your platform / attend your online classes?
Yes, Teachable and Zoom are macOS compatible. In terms of company laptop, you need to check with your company on whether it is allowed for you to do so. Certain company restricts the ability for you to access certain website / install software such as Zoom / using certain services such as Google Drive.
11Can I use multiple devices (e.g. laptop, tablet, phone) to access your platform?
You can access the platform using PC / laptop / tablet / phone. However, the platform only allows one device to be logged in at any given time. Concurrent access from multiple devices will not be permitted by the system.

Students may change login device when necessary. For security purposes, a verification email will be sent, and the student must enter the verification code received via email on the platform before access is granted. Do take note that this email might end up in your junk / spam folder.

Please also take note that if an account is found to be misused (including, but not limited to, any attempt to sell, transfer or share access), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account without refund.

For more information, refer to the terms and conditions for "Account Usage and Sharing" in this page.
12How many videos do you have / how long are your videos?
Feel free to visit our Teachable platform and click on any course in the platform. You will be able to see the length and the number of the videos in our course(s).
13Can I request a sample or preview video before signing up?
You can visit our Teachable platform and click on any course that has the label "Full Course". After clicking on it, scroll down and you should see a topic with a "Preview" button. Click on the "Preview" button and you should be able to watch the sample videos.
14Do you upload the videos in batches as the semester progresses or are all videos made available to students upon signing up?
All the full course videos are already uploaded to the Teachable platform. As such, after successful registration and payment, you would receive access to all the full course videos. However, we may make some changes to the videos in the platform (e.g. additions or deletions of videos). When there are such changes, it will always be communicated via WhatsApp group.

Take note that recording for future live Zoom classes to be conducted will only be uploaded after the class ends.
15Do you provide study materials in hard copy format?
All the study materials are in soft copies format only and it is located in the Teachable platform. You can print the materials on your own if you really need hard copies. Take note that ACCA examinations are all computer based exam. Thus, it is recommended for you to get used to using soft copies in your studies.
16Do I need to purchase any additional study materials if I enrol in your course?
The study materials provided should be sufficient for your exam preparation purpose. Hence, we believe that there is no need for you to purchase any additional study materials.
17Do you provide the service of marking of progress test and mock exam?
Yes we do. However, this is a benefit exclusively for our full course students only. It is not applicable for intensive revision classes students.
18Is ACCA difficult to pass?
We are not going to sugarcoat the reality. The truth is ACCA examinations are considered challenging by many students. However, do remember that the passing rates for ACCA examinations are not zero. In fact, students who are committed in study can pass the ACCA examination. You can refer to the FAQs on Passing ACCA Examinations below for more information on the right mindset and study techniques that you need to adopt if you want to pass the exam.
19I am worried that I won't be able to get used to online classes. Can I pass my ACCA exam if I attend an online class?
Online classes for ACCA has slowly become a norm since the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020. We started our ACCA online courses since the year 2021 and we have helped more than 2,600 students to date. We also produced 11 prize winners (top in the country for the subjects we taught) to date. Hence, it is possible to pass ACCA exams even if you study via online classes (provided that you are committed in your study). You can refer to the FAQs on Passing ACCA Examinations below for more information on the right mindset and study techniques that you need to adopt if you want to pass the exam.
20I am a student located outside Malaysia. Can I enrol in your online classes?
Yes definitely! This is one of the benefits of online classes - you can attend our classes from anywhere around the world. We have students across different countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom (UK), Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

As long as you are able to access the platforms that we use (i.e. Teachable, Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Drive etc), you are welcomed to sign up for our class(es). For fund transfer, you can consider using Wise as it allows transfer to Malaysia local bank account directly.
21I want to start ACCA but I think I have forgotten my basic knowledge. What should I do?
As ACCA is a professional exam, there will be some assumed / brought forward knowledge. Hence, it is understandable that you are concerned about this. However, good news is that our courses are designed to include the basic knowledge. For example, when you sign up for Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) classes, the knowledge in the prior paper (i.e. Financial Reporting (FR)) is covered as well. You will see certain full course videos labelled with "FR". By watching these videos, you would be able to revise back the basic knowledge and maximise your chance of passing ACCA examinations.
22You mentioned that ACCA examination is a computer-based exam (CBE). I never sat for CBE before. Will you provide us guidance on this?
Definitely! ACCA has a CBE Practice Platform (available for use by registered ACCA student) in which you will be able to use this tool to become familiar with the CBE environment. In our live Zoom classes, this platform will be used whenever possible. You will be able to learn how to navigate this platform and to be aware of the common issues that exam candidates may face during the exam.
23I heard that ACCA is a tough exam. In case if I accidentally fail my exam, can I continue to watch your videos?
We hope that you won't fail your exam! But in the event if you do, you can request for free deferment and video access extension (subject to terms and conditions such as students must demonstrate commitment in study). For more information, you can read the FAQs on Free Deferment and Video Access Extension below.
24I don't think I will be ready for exam on time. Hence, I decided to postpone my exam. Can I request for deferment on your online course?
We understand that you may need more time to prepare for your ACCA exam. As such, we do offer free deferment and video access extension to eligible students (subject to terms and conditions such as students must demonstrate commitment in study). For more information, you can read the FAQs on Free Deferment and Video Access Extension below.
25Is your course fee eligible for tax deduction / tax relief?
As this is a question related to income tax, we are unable to provide any guarantee on the tax deductibility of the course fee. It is recommended that you seek advice from a tax professional before claiming any tax deduction or tax relief.

In any case, an invoice and official receipt(s) will be provided to you via WhatsApp after successful registration and payment. You should download these documents from the link provided within one month of receipt of the documents.

Study Planning and Subject Selection

1In which order should I take my ACCA examination?
ACCA requires students to take exams in modular order. The modular order for the ACCA qualification is:

  • Applied Knowledge exams
  • Applied Skills exams
  • Strategic Professional (two (2) essentials exams and four (4) options exams - to choose two (2) out of four (4) options)
You can attempt the papers within each module in any order. If you wish to sit for exams in the next module, you must also enter for all outstanding exams in your current module.

For the subjects we offer, FR and AA are part of the Applied Skills exam whereas SBR and AAA are part of Strategic Professional. If you want to sit for FR and AA exam, you must have completed Applied Knowledge exams first (or having the relevant exemptions for these exams). Similarly, if you want to sit for SBR and AAA exam, you must have completed Applied Skills exam first (or having the relevant exemptions for these exams).
2I am new to ACCA and I am not sure if I can claim any exemptions. Where can I check for the exemption that I am entitled to?
ACCA has an exemptions calculator which is available at this link. You can check the exemptions that is available for you there. You can also go through the FAQs published by ACCA on exemptions which is available here.
3I am a degree graduate and I have exemptions for Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams / I am an ACCA accelerate student. In what order should I take the Strategic Professional papers?
As mentioned above, ACCA allows you to attempt the papers within Strategic Professional in any order. Hence, this is a matter of personal preference by students and we do not have any official recommendation on the order of exams to be taken.

However, take note that if you are interested to sit for AAA examination, this should be taken after the SBR exam. This is recommended by ACCA in the ACCA landing page for AAA, in which it is stated that
"Note that the level of accounting knowledge for AAA is aligned to the SBR syllabus. Students are encouraged to sit and pass SBR before attempting AAA."
4Why is it recommended to take AAA after SBR?
The reason is that in AAA, you are required to audit financial statements prepared using the IFRS Accounting Standards covered in SBR. If you do not have the prerequisite knowledge in SBR, it will be challenging for you to identify the audit issues in the case studies. This can lower your chance of passing the AAA exam.

Note that even if you have practical working experience in audit, we also provide the same advice - please do not take AAA exam before SBR.

In other words, if you are planning to take AAA, you must revise back SBR knowledge. If you are our SBR full course students previously and if you sign up our AAA courses, you will have access to our SBR full course videos for free. If you are not our previous SBR full course students, there is an option to add on SBR full course videos when you sign up for our AAA course. For more information, you can contact us via WhatsApp.
5Which ACCA paper is generally considered the most challenging / toughest?
This is a question that we cannot answer as "the most challenging / toughest" is subjective. However, we invite you to think from another perspective, i.e. to ask a better question. For example, "given that ACCA exams are challenging, what should I do to ensure that I can pass the exam?" Any answers that you can think of will make you one step closer to your goal of passing ACCA exams. You can refer to the FAQs on Passing ACCA Examinations below for more information on the right mindset and study techniques that you need to adopt if you want to pass the exam.
6How many ACCA papers should I attempt in one exam sitting?
In general, in order to ensure you have adequate time to prepare for exam, we recommend the following:

  • For full time students: 2 papers over a minimum of 5 months study period or 1 paper over a minimum of 3 months study period
  • For part time students: 1 paper over a minimum of 5 months study period
7Can I attempt more ACCA exams than what you recommended above?
Yes. ACCA allows you to enter a maximum of four exams per exam session and a maximum of eight different exams each calendar year. However, please exercise caution before you do so as you would have lesser time for exam preparation. This lowers your chance of passing exam.
8Will there be changes in the ACCA syllabus?
ACCA syllabus are reviewed regularly to ensure it remains up to date. Hence, for most ACCA papers, the syllabus will be updated after June exam (with certain exceptions such as ATX - syllabus will be updated after September exam). You should take this into consideration in planning for your exam.

For the courses that we offer, we will normally cover the syllabus changes in the intensive revision classes (IRC) for the September exam.
9I have just sat for an ACCA exam and I am waiting for my result. Can I start studying a new subject now?
Yes, you can start studying a new subject, but it is important to do so strategically. Avoid taking too many subjects at once, especially while waiting for results. Perhaps it is a good idea to limit yourself to one new subject at a time.

Always factor in the possibility of not passing the previous exam (not that we expect this, but it is wise to plan). If you fail, continuing with a new subject without revisiting the failed paper can make your learning less effective and waste time in the long run. Many students fall into the trap of studying multiple new subjects while failing to secure marks in previous ones. This often delay progress.

On our side, you can register for a new subject first, and if a previous exam is unsuccessful, you may request for free deferment and video access extension. This allows you to focus on the failed paper without losing access to the new subject. For more information, refer to the FAQs on Free Deferment and Video Access Extension.
10I heard about a seven year rule for ACCA exam. How does this rule work?
This rule is on the time limit for students to complete Strategic Professional exams. The rule is you have seven (7) years to pass the Strategic Professional exams. The countdown starts once you pass your first Strategic Professional exam. If you do not pass all the Strategic Professional exams within seven years, you will lose any Strategic Professional passes achieved after seven years.

Take note that this rule is only for Strategic Professional exams and it does not apply for Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exam. ACCA mentions that "the exam passes for Foundations in Accountancy, and the Applied Knowledge and Skills level from the ACCA Qualification will never expire".

For more information, you can refer to the time limit page in the ACCA website.
11I heard that in the year 2027, there is an update to the ACCA qualification and we only need to sit for one options exam (instead of two). Is this true? If this is true, can I just sit for one options exam now and wait until 2027 to become an ACCA affiliate?
Yes, this is true. In the future ACCA Qualification (available after June 2027 exam), there will be a total of five (5) Options exam and student only need to sit for one Options exam. A new Options exam, Data Science Professional, will be introduced.

Hence, if you can pass SBL, SBR and one Options exam by June 2027 exam, and complete the Ethics and Professional Skills module (EPSM) module by September 2027, you would have completed Strategic Professional level by then. However, please be mindful of the seven year rule mentioned above as this can affect your plan. Based on one of the FAQs on the future ACCA Qualification by ACCA, ACCA strongly encourage all students to actively continue their studies and progress their journey to membership without incurring any unnecessary delays.

Registration

1When can I start to register for your course? Is there any deadline?
For full course, registration is open up to three immediate upcoming exam sittings. For example, in the month of June, you can sign up for full course for exams in September, December, and March next year.

For intensive revision classes (IRC), registration is only open for one immediate exam sitting. For example, in the month of June, you can sign up for IRC for September exam only.

There is no deadline for registration. However, we recommend you to allocate enough time for your study before sitting for an exam. Thus, the earlier you register, the better it is.
2How can I register for your course?
Just send us a WhatsApp message by clicking on this link. Use the template in the link to provide us with the relevant information, i.e.

  • the subject(s) that you want to register
  • your expected exam sitting
  • full course or revision classes
We will send the relevant details to you as soon as possible. Once you confirm your intention of registration, we will send you a registration form. Upon successful submission of the registration form as well as making payment, we will arrange video access for you as soon as possible.
3Must I be a registered ACCA student before enrolling in your classes?
This is not compulsory. However, it is highly recommended for you to do so. A registered ACCA student has access to resources by ACCA such as computer-based exam (CBE) practice platform and ACCA study hub. For your information, questions from the CBE practice platform might be covered during live Zoom classes. Hence, having an ACCA student account would be more convenient for you.

Apart from that, we also offer free deferment and video access extension as part of our course. Do take note that if you were to request for this, you will need to generate some documents from your myACCA account as part of your request. This is only possible if you are a registered ACCA student. Refer to the terms and conditions page for more information.
4In the registration form, what should I enter for the “ACCA ID” field if I am not yet registered with ACCA?
You can key in "N/A".
5Are there any administrative fee or other fee that you charge during registration?
No we don't. However, do take note that the fee payable to us covers your tuition fee only. There are other fees that you need to pay to ACCA directly, such as initial registration fee, annual subscription fee, exam registration fee etc. The payment are normally made via the ACCA website (myACCA). The fees charged by ACCA are available at this webpage.

If you are unsure of the above, you can reach out to us for more details.
6I requested for instalment plan. When should I make my payment?
The first instalment should be made upon registration. We will only process your registration upon receipt of registration form submission and the first instalment payment.

The subsequent instalment payments schedule would be mentioned in the WhatsApp message sent to you upon registration as well as on the invoice issued to you. You can make payment for the subsequent instalment payments anytime within the stipulated month. Please take note that we reserve the right to remove students from our course if there are any overdue unpaid instalment payment(s).
7This is the first time I attend an ACCA online class. What equipment / software / apps do I need to prepare if I want to attend your class?
You will need a computer (PC or laptop), a stable internet connection, an active e-mail address, web browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Safari etc) and Zoom application installed on your computer, as well as WhatsApp on your phone for communication purpose. For certain subjects, you will need to access google drive.
8I do not have a laptop but I have a tablet and / or phone. Can I still sign up for your class?
As ACCA operates computer based exam, it is highly recommended for you to have a PC / laptop when you study for ACCA exam. Certain functionalities may not be available if you use tablet / phone. It will be more convenient if you study using a PC / laptop.
9When will I receive the video access?
We will arrange for video access to you after receipt of completed registration form and your payment. Normally it takes around one working day for us to make this arrangement. Do take note that we may need a longer period if there are any unavoidable circumstances.
10If I decide to withdraw from the course, is a refund available?
Please take note that the fees that you paid are strictly non-refundable.

Post Registration

1How do I access the course videos after registration?
Once we arrange the video access for you, you will receive an official instruction as well as the links to access the course from us via e-mail and WhatsApp.

Alternatively, you can visit our Teachable platform and click login. You can then login by requesting for a code to be sent to your e-mail or click "forget password". Take note that login is only possible after we make the necessary arrangement for you.
2Where do I download your notes / materials?
All our notes / materials are inside the Teachable platform. Some of the materials are located underneath the respective videos.
3Do you have a PDF file that combines all your notes / materials?
No, unfortunately we don't. The reason is that we may add on new notes / materials or to remove certain notes / materials if they become irrelevant. Thus, compilation of the notes would not be practical.
4I signed up for full course. In what order should I watch the videos in your platform?
You should start by watching the introduction video. The introduction video is the first live Zoom class at the start of the semester. This will give you an overview of what to expect, how to navigate the platform, and the right mindset that you should have if you want to pass the exam.

After this, you can proceed to the full course videos. Thereafter, you can attend the live Zoom classes (or watch the recording of the Zoom classes if you miss the class(es)).

Note: If you are familiar with the classes in college / university, full course videos are similar to lectures, where the focus is on knowledge delivery. Live Zoom classes are similar to tutorial classes, where the focus is on question practice.
5I signed up for Intensive Revision Classes (IRC) only. In what order should I watch the videos in your platform?
You can start by watching from the latest exam sittings revision videos, then work backwards to older exam sittings revision videos (reverse chronological order).

Take note that it is not compulsory for you to watch all the recordings provided. However, the more you learn, the higher the chance you have in passing your exam.
6I just signed up for full course not long ago. Must I complete all the full course videos before attending live Zoom classes?
No, you don't need to do so (it is impractical). Just try your best to watch as many full course videos as you can.
7I signed up for full course. What video(s) should I watch before your next live class?
Normally, before the end of the live Zoom classes, the topics to be covered in the subsequent live classes will be mentioned. You should try your best to watch the full course videos up to the topics mentioned so that you can better understand the content to be covered in the subsequent live Zoom classes easier.
8What is the time for your live Zoom classes?
The time for live Zoom classes are stated in the timetable (available at this link). Take note that the time listed in this timetable is Malaysia time (GMT+8). If you are from a different time zone, you will need to convert it into your local time. You can refer to this website to convert the time.

In the event of changes to the timetable due to unavoidable circumstances, it will be announced in the WhatsApp group.
9How do I join the live Zoom classes?
Before attending the live Zoom class, ensure that you install Zoom on your devices via this link (https://zoom.us/download/).

The Zoom link will be sent in the WhatsApp group before the class starts. Take note that this link might be sent few minutes before the class commences.

Upon receipt of the link, you just need to click on the link to join the class. For your convenience, it is recommended that you install WhatsApp on your device or login to WhatsApp via WhatsApp web.
10Is it compulsory to attend all live Zoom classes? What should I do if I am unable to attend the class?
It is highly recommended for you to attend the live Zoom classes. In general, students who attended the live Zoom classes commented that they are able to learn better after attending the live Zoom classes.

If you can't attend the live Zoom classes, you have an option to watch back the recording of the live Zoom classes (will be uploaded to the Teachable platform after the class).
11Will the live Zoom classes be recorded?
Yes. It will be recorded and uploaded to Teachable after the class ends.
12Where can I watch the video recording of your live Zoom classes?
It is uploaded to the Teachable platform. You need to login to be able to view the videos.

Hint: For full course students, when you are inside the Teachable course, you will need to scroll down to locate the live classes recording. It is located underneath Full Course Videos. Ensure that you access the right Teachable course too. As a reminder, you have access to two Teachable courses, one for full course and one for revision classes.
13Is it compulsory for me to watch all the videos in your platform?
As a minimum, you should watch the full course videos, attend the current semester live Zoom classes and current semester intensive revision classes (or watch back the recordings for current semester live Zoom classes and current semester intensive revision classes).

There are other resources such as previous semester live classes recordings and previous semester revision classes. These are optional as they are additional resources provided to you. You can watch them if you want to enhance your learning. The idea is that the more you learn, the higher the chance for you to pass your exam.
14I joined your full course halfway through the semester. In what order should I watch your videos?
For your information, underneath each recorded video of live Zoom classes, a note on the topics covered in the class is included. You can use this as a guide for you to watch our videos.

The idea is that you should watch the full course videos to learn the knowledge on a particular topic(s) first, then you can proceed to the live classes recording to learn about the answering and exam techniques for that topic(s).
15I signed up for full course. Where can I find the intensive revision classes (IRC) videos?
If you sign up for full course, you would have access to two Teachable courses (one for full course, one for revision classes). Ensure you are accessing the revision classes course in Teachable and not the full course.

As a reminder, the links to access the courses in Teachable are provided to you upon successful registration and payment. The links are also available in the description of the WhatsApp group. Alternatively, you can access the course by logging into the Teachable platform via this link. After logging in, you should be able to see the two courses.
16I signed up for full course. When should I start watching the IRC videos?
You should allocate around one month for revision. Hence, the IRC videos should be watched one month before your intended exam sitting. There is no need for you to watch all the previous semester revision videos. However, the more you learn, the higher chance you have in passing your exam.

Troubleshooting

1I see a “too many devices using this account” message on Teachable. What should I do?
The reason you see this message is because the platform only allows one concurrent device to be used at one time. To change your device, you need to follow the on screen instruction (i.e. request for a verification code to be sent to you via e-mail, key in the code contained in the e-mail, click log out for the devices that you are not using). After this, access to the platform should be granted.
2I followed the steps above but I did not receive an e-mail. What should I do?
Please check your spam / junk folder. If it is not in the spam / junk folder, do reach out to us for further assistance.
3I already clicked logout on my other device previously but I still see the message "too many devices using this account". Why is this the case?
Take note that this is the normal expected behaviour of the system. You can just proceed to request for verification code via e-mail.
4The location shown by the system is not the same as per the actual location that I am currently at. Why is this the case? Am I being hacked?
The location shown by the system is an IP Geolocation. It is normal for it to be inaccurate. You can safely ignore the discrepancies.
5I am unable to view videos on Teachable. What should I do?
A detailed troubleshooting guide is available at this link. Please ensure you go through all the steps in the link. If the issues remain unresolved, do reach out to us for further assistance.

Free Deferment and Video Access Extension

1What is free deferment and video access extension?
In view that ACCA exam is challenging and you may need more time to prepare for your ACCA exam, we offer this benefit to our students. We believe that this flexibility will help you to pass your ACCA exam.

In general, if you are our full course students, provided that you fulfill the terms and conditions, we can grant you free deferment and video access extension up to the next two (2) consecutive exam sittings immediately following the original exam sitting stated on the invoice issued to you. However, the total duration of video access and support (including any free deferment and video access extension) shall not exceed four (4) consecutive exam sittings or one (1) year in total, whichever comes first, counted from the date of registration (i.e. the invoice date).

If you are our intensive revision classes students, provided that you fulfill the terms and conditions, we can grant you free deferment and video access extension to the next one (1) exam sitting immediately following the original exam sitting stated on the invoice. However, the total duration of video access and support (including any free deferment and video access extension) shall not exceed two (2) consecutive exam sittings or six (6) months in total, whichever comes first, counted from the date of registration (i.e. date of invoice).

It is important to know that this benefit not granted automatically. The general rule is that students must demonstrate commitment in study and it is subject to terms and conditions stated in this page. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions carefully prior to registration and feel free to contact us via WhatsApp if you are not clear on any of the terms and conditions prior to registration.
2How do you assess my commitment to studies?
In general, we will look into your access record to Teachable as well as your interaction with us via WhatsApp and/or in live Zoom classes (e.g. whether do you actively ask us questions related to your studies).

You can refer to item 4 of the terms and conditions under "Free Deferment and Video Access Extension" for more information.
3I am too busy with my work / my degree study / my other ACCA paper(s) / my own business etc. Hence, I don't have time to watch videos. Am I eligible for this benefit?
Referring to item 10 in the terms and conditions under "Free Deferment and Video Access Extension", this would not be considered as exceptional circumstances. Thus, if you are unable to demonstrate your commitment to studies, your request will be rejected. It remains the student’s responsibility to manage time and commitments effectively.
4I know I didn't watch videos, but I did study your notes. Am I eligible for this benefit?
Referring to item 4 in the terms and conditions under "Free Deferment and Video Access Extension", student who claim to rely solely on reading notes will not be considered as having demonstrated sufficient commitment as our course is primarily delivered through video lessons and live Zoom classes. Hence, if you are unable to demonstrate your commitment to studies, your request will be rejected.
5Both my friend and I signed up for your course. However, we normally watch the videos together by using one device. Thus, my account has very few viewing activities. Am I eligible for this benefit?
Referring to item 4 in the terms and conditions under "Free Deferment and Video Access Extension", it is stated that student must ensure access of video is made from own personal account and devices so that viewing activity can be properly recorded by the system. Hence, for this case, if you cannot demonstrate your commitment to studies, your request will be rejected.

As a reminder, under item 5 of the terms and conditions for "Account Usage and Sharing", it is stated that "if an account is found to be misused (including, but not limited to, any attempt to sell, transfer or share access), we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the account without refund".

Passing ACCA Examinations

1What should I focus on if my goal is to pass my ACCA exams confidently?
To pass your ACCA exams confidently, effective preparation is crucial. This means:

  1. Deep understanding of the syllabus: do not blindly accept knowledge / memorise rules without context and keep on asking "why". This allows you to apply your knowledge in exam effectively.
  2. Proper question practice: watching videos and reading notes alone is not enough. You must attempt questions and write out answers on your own.
  3. Repetition and active recall: repetition builds mastery. Regularly test yourself without referring to notes, practice recalling key steps / principles, memorise exam-relevant keywords and phrases, especially for subjective questions.
  4. Time management: As exam approaches, you must attempt questions under exam conditions, including timing yourself, because ACCA exams are time-pressured.
  5. Adopt the right mindset: refer to the question below.
2What is the right mindset for preparing for and sitting ACCA examinations?
The right mindset start with commitment. Students who pass ACCA exams are those who decide that "I must pass", not "I should try" or "ACCA is good to have". When you treat ACCA as optional, preparation becomes inconsistent and you will find yourself with lots of excuses. It is only when you treat ACCA exams as non-negotiable, then only your study becomes more focused and your sacrifices becomes more meaningful.

It is also important for you to know why you want to pass. A clear and emotionally meaningful reason, such as career growth, financial stability, self-respect, or proving something to yourself, gives you strength on the day when motivation is low. Your purpose will keep you going.

In short, treat ACCA as a must, not a should. Together with a clear reason, your preparation would become simpler, more structured and far more effective.

Bonus challenge (optional): Aim higher than just a pass

If you are open to a challenge, here is one that has surprised many student: Tell yourself, "I must score 80 marks in this exam."

This does not mean that scoring less than 80 marks makes you a failure. The purpose of this challenge is to raise your internal standard. When you aim for 80, you will prepare like someone who is aiming to score well. You will study differently, think deeper, and perform better in exam.

What often happens is interesting. Even if students do not reach 80, they frequently score much higher than they originally expected. Some even managed to exceed 80.

So, are you up for a challenge?
3I am very busy with work. How can I manage my time effectively while studying ACCA?
As explained in the previous question, the first step is mindset. If passing ACCA is something you "should do when you have time", your work will always take priority. However, the moment you decide that ACCA is non-negotiable, you stop asking "Do I have time?". Instead, you start to ask, "Where can I find time?". This is an important shift, especially if you are currently working full time.

You need to treat study time like an important work meeting. Block it in your calendar and protect it. On very busy days, do not aim for long study hours. Even a short 30-minute study session counts. You can wake up 30 minutes earlier, watch or listen to videos during breakfast / lunch / dinner, use your commute time, or study briefly before sleep instead of scrolling or watching shows. These 30-minute study session add up more than you realise.

Then, remember to use your weekends strategically. Weekends are the perfect opportunity for you to create momentum by spending longer, more focused study sessions. This is where your "why" matters". When you are clear on why you want to pass ACCA, it becomes easier to make temporary sacrifices during your weekend (i.e. your rest time) and stay committed.

Time is like water in a sponge, as long as you are willing to squeeze it, there is always some.
4How much study is enough to realistically pass an ACCA exam?
There is no fixed number of hours that guarantees a pass. The question is not "How long I should study" but rather, "Given the time I have, how can I study most effectively?"

Focused, consistent study and deliberate practice matter far more than long hours or last-minute cramming. Even shorter, highly focused sessions can be very effective if you maintain momentum. Ultimately, "enough" is measured by your progress, not the time spent. Keep moving forward consistently, and you will be well on your way to passing your ACCA exam.
5There are many things I can do to pass ACCA. In your opinion, what is the most important one?
If we had to pick one single most important thing, that would be practicing past year questions under exam conditions. This is the step that many students neglect.

Many students focus heavily on watching lectures and reading notes, but only to realise that during the exam, they are unable to write answers, even though the knowledge feels familiar. This is because the knowledge has not been trained for recall and application, which is what the exam tests. It is also a signal that you are not yet familiar enough with the subject.

This problem can be avoided if sufficient question practice had been done. With repeated practice, your brain learns how to structure answers, recall key points, and respond automatically under time pressure. When you reach the stage where you can mentally formulate answer as you read the question, you are already very close to passing the ACCA exam.
6I keep falling behind my study plan. How should I get back on track?
First, don't be too harsh on yourself. Many students fall behind their study plan not because they are lazy, but because they overestimate how much they can absorb within a given time. Understanding ACCA syllabus takes time, and thus it is normal to need more time than initially planned.

It is also important to remember that everyone studies at a different pace. Studying faster does not guarantee a pass, and studying slower does not mean you are weak. What truly matters is steady progress. Very often, slow and consistent learners build deeper understanding and this would help a long way in passing ACCA exams.

If you find your original study plan has become unrealistic, you will need to adjust your plan. Refocus on consistency rather than speed. That is also why, under our free deferment and video access extension policy, we look at commitment and consistency, not at how fast you complete the syllabus. As long as you continue to have progress in your studies, you are still on track. It is perfectly acceptable for you to take a little longer to prepare for exam.
7I feel guilty that I started studying late. How do I stop myself from procrastinating further?
The fact that you are asking this question already means that you are no longer procrastinating. You have started to become aware of the issue and are thinking about how to move forward. This is an important first step.

From this point onwards, your focus should be on building momentum. You do not need to study perfectly or cover everything immediately. What matters is that you keep studying consistently from now on. The more you study from this point forward, even in small but focused blocks, the higher your chances of passing the exam.
8I feel stressed and anxious about the upcoming exam, and I’m afraid of failing. How can I better manage this pressure?
Fear usually comes from what we think failing means. It could be the fear of wasted money, wasted time, disappointing others, or falling behind. When you examine these fears calmly, you will realise that none of them are permanent. Money can be earned again, time spent studying is never wasted because learning stays with you, and your journey does not need to match anyone else's timeline. Failing an exam does not define your value, intelligence, or future.

More importantly, understand this: being brave does not mean being fearless. A true hero is someone who feels fear but chooses to move forward anyway. If you wait until you become fearless before studying or sitting for exam, you may wait forever. The mindset you need is simple - "Even if I am afraid, I must do it."

When you continue studying and show up for exam despite the fear, something magical and powerful happens. Regardless of your result, you would have proven to yourself that the fear no longer controls you. This experience of yours will help you to build strength, resilience, and confidence. These are the qualities that will stay with you and it will carry you to become an ACCA member.
9I started practising past year questions and realised I don’t know many things. I now feel anxious and defeated. What should I do?
First, instead of blaming yourself, please know that this is actually a good discovery. Imagine if you only discover that you didn't know these things on the actual exam day, that would be a disaster, isn't it? Finding our your gaps now means you still have time to fix them, and that is something to be grateful for.

When you shift from self-blame to gratitude, your stress and fear naturally reduce. It is not that you don't know anything. You are simply becoming aware of what you need to improve. This is a necessary part of your learning process and it is a key to passing exam.

From here, the next step that you need to do is to work on the areas that you don't know. Learn them, practise them again, ask questions to reinforce your understanding. If similar questions appear in the exam, you are going to be able to answer them confidently.

In short, reaching this stage means you are already doing something right. You are practising past year questions, which already puts you ahead of many students who never reach this level of preparation.
10How should I revise in the final week before the ACCA exam? What should I focus on in the last few days?
In the final week before the exam, it is not advisable for you to start learning completely new topics. At this stage, you should focus on consolidating your knowledge. Trying to learn new areas often creates unnecessary stress and can dilute what you already know.

It is also important to remind yourself that it is impossible to study 100% of the syllabus, and you don't need to. The passing mark is 50%. Your goal is not perfection, but to score enough marks from areas that you are already familiar with. Hence, you should

  • Focus on revising what you have learnt.
  • Practice questions you have attempted before.
  • Actively recalling key concepts.
  • Memorise important keywords for subjective questions.
  • Take care of your health, rest well, and avoid over-studying. A clear and rested mind will help you to perform far better than last-minute cramming.
11How can I avoid running out of time during the exam?
One of the most effective ways to manage time in exam is to allocate your time based on marks. For example, in a 3-hour exam (180 minutes), each mark is worth 1.8 minutes. This means a 6-mark question should take roughly 10-11 minutes (6 x 1.8). Use this as a guide when planning how long to spend on each question.

Discipline is crucial. When the allocated time is up, you must be willing to move on, even if your answer feels incomplete. Staying too long on one question often means you are writing beyond the marks available, which does not earn extra marks but costs you valuable time that could be used elsewhere. Writing excessively for one question can cause you to miss out on marks for other questions entirely.

Candidates who manage their time well and attempt all questions, even imperfectly, generally have a much higher chance of passing than those who answer fewer questions very well but leave others unanswered.
12How do I know if I am truly ready to sit for the ACCA exam?
The honest answer is you will never feel 100% ready. Even students who eventually score very good marks often walk into the exam hall feeling uncertain. Feeling not ready does not mean you will fail. It simply means you care about the outcome.

What matters more is the courage to show up and sit for the exam, trusting that you have done what you can within your current circumstances. If you choose not to sit for the exam, the result is guaranteed - no progress and no chance of passing. But if you do sit for it, you give yourself a real opportunity to move one step closer to becoming an ACCA member.

Hence, even if you are not truly ready, just move forward and go for the exam! You might be surprised by the result that you can get!
13I panic during exams even when I know the content. What can I do?
Panic during exams is usually your mind playing a trick on you. Your brain senses the exam as a threat and triggers a fight-or-flight response, making it hard to think clearly, even if you actually know the material.

A simple but effective way to calm yourself is to take a deep breath and repeat to yourself:
"It is impossible that you know nothing. You must know something. Write what you know."
Fun fact: many students who use this statement in the exam told us that this statement is very powerful. It immediately calms them down, allowing them to start writing and recall answers. Perhaps you should try this in your upcoming exam!
14What should I do if I don’t know how to answer a question during the exam?
In ACCA exams, it is normal to encounter questions you have never seen before in past papers. It is just part of the exam's design.

Instead of leaving the answer blank, which guarantees zero marks, try your best to apply what you have learnt to the scenario. Sometimes, the examiner is looking at your thought process, reasoning, and judgement. Even if your conclusion differs from the model answer, clear and logical reasoning may still earn marks.

If you feel stuck, use the same approach as mentioned in the previous question - take a deep breath and repeat to yourself:
"It is impossible that you know nothing. You must know something. Write what you know."
Start writing. Remember, partial answers or justified reasoning is far better than leaving the answer blank.

Failing ACCA Examinations

1I have failed my ACCA exam. What should I do next?
We are sorry to hear that you fail your ACCA exam. This is what you can do next:

  1. Face the reality. The earlier you face the reality, the faster you can recover and think of the next steps.
  2. Reflect back on your exam preparation process as well as what happened during the exam. Identify the things that you think went wrong.
  3. Ask yourself this question - "If I can go back in time, what will I do differently to ensure that I can pass the exam?
  4. Allow yourself some rest and allocate some time for you to recover.
  5. Plan for the next exam (i.e. when to resit).
Feel free to reach out to us if you need advice on this area. We believe that if you don't stop trying, eventually you will be able to pass your exam.

Note: You might be eligible to reattend my classes for free. This is subject to the terms and conditions for free deferment and video access extension. For more information, you can read the FAQs on free deferment and video access extension above.
2I scored 49 marks, just 1 mark away from a pass. Why did this happen, and how should I look at it?
Scoring 49 marks is painful. There is no denying that. It can feel unfair, heartbreaking, and deeply frustrating. But as difficult as it is to accept, the truth is this: at that point in time, your performance had not yet reached the passing standard, yet. And "yet" is the key word. The result is not a permanent judgment of your ability or your future.

Instead of asking "Why couldn't I just get that one extra mark?, consider this reframe: what if 49 marks is a message, and not a punishment?

If you believe that life is not entirely random, then perhaps this experience is meant to tell you something important: that you are capable of more than merely passing at 50. If the goal were simply to pass at 50, that could have happened easily. But what if this result exists to push you toward becoming stronger, sharper, and better prepared? In other words, what if this experience is to prepare you to be someone capable of scoring much higher?

Failing at 49 can feel devastating, but it can also become one of the most powerful turning points in your life, if you choose to let it be. You now stand at a crossroads: to give up and walk away with nothing, or to rise, reflect, adjust your strategy, and come back stronger. Those who rise after such defeats often don’t just pass eventually. They develop resilience, clarity, and inner strength that serve them far beyond exams. These are qualities worthy of an ACCA member.

One final reframe may help: pass and fail are not opposites. They coexist. For someone to pass, someone else must fail. This does not make failure meaningless. Your result is part of the system, part of the process, and part of growth. Today it may be your turn to fall; next time, it may be someone else’s turn, and that may be the moment you pass.

The question now is not “Why 49?”.

The real question is: what will you choose to do next?
3I scored 49 marks and failed. Should I appeal, and how does the appeal process work??
Based on past experience, we rarely heard of students who had successfully appealed when they get 49 marks. The reason is that ACCA has a range of procedures in place to ensure that the exam results issued are correct. It would be better for you to face the reality as soon as possible and work on improving yourself so that you can pass the exam in the next exam sitting.

Nevertheless, if you want to, you can request for an administrative review via your myACCA account. For more information, you can read the administrative review information for more information.
4I feel that I studied very hard, yet I still failed my ACCA exam. Why does this happen?
This actually happened to many ACCA students (perhaps more than you realise). Studying hard does not automatically mean studying effectively. Many students put in long hours in their study but focus on the wrong thing, such as

  • Passively watching videos;
  • Memorising content without understanding;
  • Avoid practising past year questions under exam conditions because it feels uncomfortable;

ACCA exams do not reward effort alone. They reward your application skills, exam techniques, and decision making under time constraint. If your preparation does not train you to think, apply, and answer like the exam requires, the results may not reflect the time you invested.

Failing an exam is not a sign that you are a failure. It is usually a signal that your study strategy need to change. Once you change your strategy, you will start to see a different outcome and you will be able to pass the exam eventually.
5After failing my exam, I feel disappointed and like a failure. How can I cope with this emotionally?
We understand that failing an ACCA exam can be a very painful experience. To be able to cope with this, we need to see things as it is, but not worst than it is. The truth will set you free. So let's analyse carefully - what actually happened?

Here is a simple truth. You are not a failure. You do not fail as an individual. You only fail an exam. This is a very important distinction that you must make.

For us, we believe that there is no failure and there is only feedback. Maybe this experience of yours is trying to tell you that there are something that you did not do in your study / something that you did wrongly in your exam preparation process / you did something right during the exam preparation stage but you didn't do it with enough intensity. As a result, you did not pass the exam.

So all you need to focus on is to ask this question - "How can I be better?". Avoid asking yourself "why did I fail the exam" as this will not give you the answer you want. All you need to do is to change your action (i.e. do not repeat your mistake in the past). Any answer you get from the question of "How can I be better" will lead you closer to your goal of passing your ACCA exam.

In short, if you start to do something differently today, you are going to get a different outcome in the future. As long as you continue to improve yourself, you are going to pass the exam eventually. Wishing you all the best!
6Looking back at my preparation, what are the common gaps or mistakes that may have caused me to fail?
There are many reasons that can cause a student to fail an ACCA exam. However, the most common reasons based on our experience are as follows:

  • Lack of understanding of the syllabus
  • Did not study the full syllabus / questions spotting / looking for shortcut to study
  • Lack of question practice
  • Inadequate time to prepare for exam (e.g. too busy with work / took too many subjects in one exam sitting)
  • Wrong exam techniques

The truth is, you must put in efforts if you want to pass ACCA exam. You need to diagnose the reasons and avoid doing the same thing again if you want to pass your subsequent exam sitting. As long as you are improving, you will be able to pass the exam eventually.
7How can I improve my approach and perform better in my next attempt?
In general, these are the things that you should do starting from now:

  • Allocate adequate time to study the full syllabus. Do not rush through the syllabus. Ensure you have a deep understanding on what you study.
  • Don't be overly ambitious in your exam plan. Sometimes, taking exam at a slower pace increases your chance of passing exam. If you are too rushed, you may end up spending more time as your risk of failing exam increases.
  • Do not look for shortcut. Do not spot questions. Do not look for an easy way out. Please study the full syllabus.
  • Ask questions when you cannot understand the syllabus.
  • Question practice is a must. Question practice means you need to time yourself and write your own answers to the past year questions. Thereafter, compare your answer to the model answer and learn from your mistake. Arguably, this is the most important things that you need to do if you are stuck with an ACCA exam. The more you do this, the better you will be.
  • Learn proper exam techniques. Attend classes again if you think it is necessary.
Remember, you will only truly fail an ACCA exam if you give up. If you never give up, you will always have a chance to pass the exam!
8I am afraid of failing again. How can I overcome this fear?
Fear of failing is normal. In fact, it shows that the exam matters to you. The issue is not on fear itself. The issue is whether do you allow this fear to stop you from taking action.

A brave person is not someone who has no fear. Without fear, there will be no bravery. A true hero feels fear, doubt, and uncertainty, and yet still chooses to move forward. If you wait until you are no longer afraid, you may never take the exam, and you will never reach your goal of becoming an ACCA member.

Thus, your goal is not to eliminate fear, but to act despite your fear. Each time you continue studying, practising, and showing up even when you feel afraid, your fear will reduce. Courage is built through action, not waiting.
9Past exam failures have affected my confidence. How can I rebuild my confidence for the next sitting?
Confidence is not something that you wait for. It is something that you build through progress. Confidence comes after taking action.

What you should do is to focus on small, meaningful progress, such as understand one topic better, improve your exam technique for one type of question, or improve in your time management for one type of question. Each small improvement reinforces the belief that you are moving forward. That's how your confidence grow.

Do not wait until you are confident to start. Start even when you feel not confident. As long as you are progressing and learning from your mistake, your confidence can be rebuilt over time.
